Come take a ride on the train to the WK&S Great Pumpkin Patch!
EVERYONE’S A KIDS in Our Pumpkin Patch... pumpkins for kids and adult kids, too! Select your own pumpkin from the pumpkin patch, and once back at the Kempton Station, you will be able to choose from a variety of decorating kits to dress up your pumpkin. And, don’t forget to get your treat from one of our lovely witches!!!

Is the Pumpkin Patch Train just for children, or can adults and grandparents enjoy it too?
Absolutely. This event is for everyone — children, parents, grandparents, couples and families. Adults can enjoy the train ride, visit the pumpkin patch and choose a pumpkin right along with the kids.
What happens during the Pumpkin Patch Train experience?
Your fall adventure begins with a train ride from Kempton Station to the WK&S Great Pumpkin Patch. After getting off the train, riders can choose their own pumpkin.
Back at Kempton Station, you can select from a variety of decorating kits to give your pumpkin its own personality. Children can also stop by to receive a special treat from one of the WK&S witches before heading home.
Does everyone get to choose their own pumpkin?
Yes. Riders of all ages can select a pumpkin from the WK&S Great Pumpkin Patch. Parents and grandparents are welcome to join in the fun instead of simply watching the children.
Where do we get off the train to visit the pumpkin patch?
During the ride, the train will stop at the WK&S Great Pumpkin Patch. Passengers can get off, choose their pumpkins and then board the train again for the return trip to Kempton Station.
What happens with our pumpkins once we return to Kempton Station?
Bring your pumpkin back with you on the train. Once you arrive at Kempton Station, you’ll be able to choose from a variety of decorating kits and add a little personality to your pumpkin before taking it home.
Are the pumpkin decorating kits included with the ticket?
A variety of pumpkin decorating kits is available as part of the Pumpkin Patch Train experience. After returning to Kempton Station, you can choose a kit and decorate the pumpkin you selected.
Will there be a treat for the children during the event?
Yes. Children can visit one of the WK&S witches for a special treat during the Pumpkin Patch Train experience. It’s one more fun part of the day for younger riders.
Do we need reservations, or can we purchase tickets when we arrive?
Reservations are suggested, especially for this popular fall event. The Pumpkin Patch Train runs on October 17, 18, 24 and 25, with several departures available each day.
Buying your tickets ahead of time gives you the best chance of riding at the time that works best for your family.
What train times are available on October 17, 18, 24 and 25?
Departure times are:

4:00 p.m.
Plan to arrive early enough to park, check in and receive your official boarding ticket before your scheduled departure.
What should we know before arriving, including tickets, restrooms and what to wear?
An online confirmation is not your official ticket to board the train. When you arrive at WK&S, stop at the ticket office to receive your boarding ticket.
Since there are no bathrooms aboard the train, it’s a good idea to use the facilities before departure.
Comfortable shoes are recommended because you’ll be getting off the train to visit the pumpkin patch. Dressing in layers is also a smart choice for an October day in Pennsylvania.
