What makes the holidays feel special?
For many families, it’s the traditions they enjoy year after year. Reading a favorite Christmas story. Sipping hot chocolate on a cold evening. Visiting Santa. Spending time together without rushing from one activity to the next.
This December, the Wanamaker, Kempton & Southern Railroad brings families together with two special holiday experiences.
Join Mrs. Claus for A Night with Mrs. Claus at the North Pole Bakery on December 4, or climb aboard the Santa Claus Express on December 5 and 6.
Both events offer a wonderful way to celebrate the season and create lasting family memories.
Spend a Night with Mrs. Claus at the North Pole Bakery
On Friday, December 4, climb aboard a caboose and enjoy a festive ride to A Night with Mrs. Claus at the North Pole Bakery.
Sing your favorite Christmas songs along the way before arriving at the bakery, where Mrs. Claus will greet you with freshly baked cookies to decorate. Enjoy hot chocolate and a delicious cookie while Mrs. Claus shares one of her favorite Christmas stories.
It’s a wonderful opportunity to slow down and enjoy some holiday fun together.
The North Pole Caboose departs at 4:30 PM, 5:15 PM, 6:00 PM, and 6:45 PM. Tickets cost $18 for adults, $18 for children ages 3–11, and $2 for children ages 2 and under. Reservations are required.
This event takes place for one night only, and seating is very limited! Make your reservations in November to secure your family’s spot.
All Aboard the Santa Claus Express
The holiday fun continues on Saturday, December 5 and Sunday, December 6, when the Santa Claus Express welcomes families aboard for a festive train ride.
Santa, Mrs. Claus, Frosty the Snowman, and the Elves will join the celebration. During the ride, Santa will walk through the train, hand out free gifts to the children, and share special treats with everyone.
And don’t forget your camera! You’ll want to capture plenty of pictures and memories along the way.
Stay warm and comfortable throughout your visit. The railroad heats the train, gift shop, and restrooms during cold weather. You can also visit the Schuylkill & Lehigh Model Railroad Club’s display in the yellow coach behind the ticket office.
The Santa Claus Express departs at 11:00 AM, 12 noon, 1:00 PM, 2:00 PM, and 3:00 PM on both days. Tickets cost $18 for adults, $18 for children ages 3–11, and $2 for children ages 2 and under.
Reservations are required, so book your family’s holiday train ride early!
