All Aboard the Pottery Train!
Mug-Making Adventure at WK&S

Hop on board for a one-of-a-kind creative experience! Riders will take the 1 P.M. WK&S train to the Wanamaker Station, where you’ll step off the train and straight into a hands-on pottery class with Jo Pilston Pottery.

During the class, you’ll create your very own handbuilt mug using slab-building techniques. Jo will guide you through each step—shaping, assembling, and adding personality to your mug—no wheel required. This class is perfect for beginners and those with a little clay experience alike. Once the class wraps up, you’ll leave your masterpiece in Jo’s care for drying, glazing, and firing. Then it’s back on the train for a relaxing ride back to the station. Mugs will be ready for pick up at the WK&S Railroad 2–3 weeks later. Clay, creativity, and a train ride—what more could you ask for? All aboard the pottery train!

These classes are for ages 12 and up. Thank You!
