Serving Tray Pottery Train

June 14

Climb aboard the 1 P.M. WK&S train for a creative journey that’s as fun as it is functional! Riders will travel by train to the Wanamaker Station, where you’ll hop off and take part in a hands-on pottery class with Jo Pilston Pottery. In this class, you’ll create your very own handbuilt serving tray using beautiful hazelnut clay. You’ll learn slab-building techniques and can personalize your tray by choosing from a wide variety of textures—or keep it sleek and smooth for a clean, modern look. Perfect for baking brownies, serving your favorite treats, or using as a stylish centerpiece, your finished tray will measure approximately 12” x 7”. Once your tray is complete, you’ll leave it with Jo for drying, glazing, and firing, then hop back on the train for the ride back to the WK&S Railroad. Trays will be ready for pick up at the WK&S Railroad 2–3 weeks later. A train ride, clay, and a piece you’ll actually use—this is pottery with a destination! These classes are for ages 12 and up. Thank You!
